A new grocery store option is opening in the Myrtle Beach area.

BJ’s Wholesale Club is opening its second location in South Carolina, according to a press release.

The Sun News reported in July 2023 that construction for a new BJ’s was underway near the Krispy Kreme on Rodeo Drive in Carolina Forest. The property is more than 12 acres large, according to Horry County Land Records.

The location will also bring 150 jobs and will open later this fiscal year, according to the press release. The 2024 fiscal year began Oct. 1, 2023, and ends Sept. 30, 2024, according to the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
