A Myrtle Beach’s Tanger Outlets store closed. A new ‘Dude’ will open in the same space.
One men’s store specializing in bathing suits and shorts has closed, and a new shoe store is replacing it.
Hey Dude, a shoe store with an emphasis on leisure is opening at the Tanger Outlets, located at 10835 Kings Road, with signs and decals announcing its future spot there. Although the new store is not opening yet, its front door is painted with a ‘Coming Soon’ sign.
While not open yet, the store is set to replace one that was only open for less than a year. Chubbies, a summer and beachwear store with locations in Atlanta, Ga. and Charleston, S.C., closed its Myrtle Beach location in December, according to an email sent by the company.
Chubbies first opened at Tanger Outlets’ Highway 17 location in March 2023, The Sun News reported in March 2023.
