A Myrtle Beach pub is expanding, aiming to bring more games and seating to the globally -inspired bar.

Pub International bills itself as a gathering place, serving pub-style food and cocktails inspired by various international cuisines. The pub, located off of U.S. 501 at 3218 Waccamaw Blvd., opened in early 2025.

Less than a year and a half after its opening, Pub International recently announced plans to expand the bar into the 4,000-square-foot space next to the current location.

A message left for owners was not returned by publication.

The expansion will allow Pub International to offer two different atmospheres in the same location, appealing to bargoers seeking a high-energy experience or a relaxing gathering, a post on its Facebook post said.

The additional square footage will build on much of what Pub International has already established in its current space — adding various games like darts and pool, offering more television screens for viewing sports and operating a second bar space. It will also bring a new layer of fun to the pub with a dedicated dance floor, built-in DJ booth and outdoor patio, the post said.

Pub International’s food and drinks menu is built around global ingredients and cuisines. Drinks like a Peruvian pisco sour and a Bermudian rum swizzle star on the cocktail menu. Food offerings include paninis, wings, tacos, burgers and various small plates.

As part of the bar’s expansion, Pub International will be reworking its menu by replacing some less popular dishes with new food options, its post said.

Throughout the expansion process, Pub International is letting customers help decide the future of the bar through social media polls about the space’s lighting, seating and televisions.

While Pub International has not announced a detailed timeline for the expansion, the goal is for the expansion to be completed before the end of summer, the bar wrote in a Facebook post.
