Don Chemas Restaurant is preparing to open in the building where the Duffy Street Seafood Shack once was.

Owner Oscar Guerra said work is being done to the North Myrtle Beach restaurant and he hopes that it will open within the next two months. The website states the restaurant plans to mix Mexican flavors with Southern hospitality. It is located at 319 Sea Mountain Highway.

The menu has an assortment of Mexican, Central and South American dishes, including tacos, pupusas and tamales, according to the menu on its website. Prices will range from around $10 to $20 for a meal.

Duffy Street Seafood Shack closed both its locations in 2022, citing the coronavirus pandemic and the economic hardships it brought, The Sun News reported.
