New restaurant opens in former Checkers spot
A new Surfside Beach eatery has opened its doors in the space formerly occupied by Checkers, a drive-in restaurant that recently closed.
Located at 1900 Highway 17 N., the new restaurant is called Chasers Pub & Grub.
It features menu items such as burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, pizza, sandwiches and soft serve ice cream.
A fast food chain restaurant Checkers closed unexpectedly in February.
