▪ Clean Eatz is a small restaurant name that got started in Wilmington, N.C., and has now spread to Myrtle Beach. The business was started by two enthusiastic trainers pushed by their desire to stay healthy and encourage others to do the same.

With a new location 7727 N. Kings Highway, Clean Eatz offers many dishes meant to be fresh and healthy without losing any deliciousness. Their meals consist of sandwiches, wraps, even burgers, and each one comes with its own calorie count, so there’s no guessing.

Clean Eatz also has the option for guests to build their own bowl of food, so they can make their meal however they want. A small section for muscle building even exists, and they make sure to let you know that these massive wraps aren’t meant to help lose weight. The sandwiches and wraps come with sides, but not their Makin’ Muscle menu.

Something unique Clean Eatz offers is their meal program, which allows customers to purchase between 5 and 21 meals to make eating healthy easier than ever. The company encourages people to come in and learn more about the program, and even try it out with their ready to go meals.

Learn more about eating healthy on their website, cleaneatz.net, or visit facebook.com/cleaneatzmyrtlebeach for more information on our new Grand Strand location. They are open from 11a.m. to 7p.m. Monday through Friday, and close at 3p.m. on Saturday, then rest on Sunday. They can also be reached at 843-839-9569.

▪ Thankfully, not all the news coming out about Broadway at the Beach is simply closures. This spring American Tap House will be opening on Celebrity Square, an American gastropub looking forward to sharing their love of craft food and craft beer.

This new craft beer experience will be situated in what was once Club Boca, across the street from the new Hard Rock Café location. They aim to have 40 American, mostly regional, craft beers on tap, along with meals made fresh and locally sourced.

Stay tuned for the opening date of American Tap House, and follow their progress at americantaphouse.com. They also have social media accounts, including Facebook and Instagram, under the same name.

▪ Although Conway recently saw some unexpected closures from cafés, residents will be encouraged to know there will always be new businesses. At the beginning of the month, Coffee Nerd opened their doors bright and early to serve fresh coffee and delicious sandwiches.

Located on 182 Waccamaw Medical Park Court, this new café is in a convenient location for numerous businesses and the college. They sell breakfast goodies all day, plus an assortment of baked treats like bagels, cookies, and biscotti. Naturally they are most proud of their coffee, especially their nitro brew (nitrogen-infused coffee) on tap.

Coffee Nerd also offers sandwiches and salads, and everything seems to be decently priced. This new bistro also has a drive through for guests on the go, plus wi-fi for those who would prefer to sit and relax for a bit.

To try some of their fun coffee creations or any of their paninis, drop by their location between 6:30a.m. and 6p.m. any day of the week. Reach them at 843-347-9393 or visit their website coffeenerdsc.com which also has easy access to their Facebook page.

▪ Italian La Festa, which seemed to be struggling recently, has shut down and will be reopening as Carolina Seafood and Steaks. At the moment, they have not updated La Festa’s website, but their Facebook page has been changed around, and they are working on a new site for Carolina Seafood and Steaks. The original phone number does not reach anybody, but keep up with The Surge to see when this new restaurant opens!
