Where are you from? Connecticut, I get told I’m a Yankee all the time.

What brings you to the Grand Strand? About six months ago, I got a divorce and moved down here to have some fun. I’d never bartended before. I’d never even worked in restaurants before.

What kind of job did you have before you moved here? I was a blackjack dealer at one of the biggest casinos in the world.

What’s the biggest difference between being a bartender and a blackjack dealer? There are a lot of similarities. You have to deal with different personalities, cater to the customers’ or the players’ needs.

Are you a good card player? I can’t brag about my card playing. I will say I’ve done tournaments in Vegas, and I was the last woman standing. But there are no casinos in Myrtle Beach. I am hoping they build one, though.

So now that you’re single, what are you doing with your freedom? My kids call me a cougar because I’m dating younger guys.

What’s the youngest guy you’ve dated? He was 22. I’m just having fun. A guy in the bar called me a M.I.L.F. the other day, and I told him, “No honey, I’m a G.I.L.F.”

How many kids and grandkids do you have? I have boy and girl, 28 and 24 years old, and I have two grandkids, ages 4 and 3. They’re all back in Connecticut.

What do like most about bartending? Everyone has stories.

What do you like least about bartending? When someone doesn’t know what they want to drink or they want you to replicate something they saw on TV. If you came to drink, then drink.

So do you have any closing comments? Life’s too short. I don’t have time for standing around or beating around the bush. Get out there and dance.

(tequila, triple sec, sweet and sour mix, lime juice and Blue Curacao)
