Q: Where are you from?
A: Originally I’m from Georgetown, but I’ve lived in Myrtle Beach for the last 18 years.
Q: Do you ever miss the smell of Georgetown’s paper mill?
A: No, but I got used to it while I was there. My dad retired from the paper mill. He used to say that smell was our bread and butter.
Q: How long have you been a bartender?
A: Also 18 years. I was the bar manager at Fantails before here.
Q: What’s the biggest difference between being a bartender at Fantails and being a bartender at Tequila Joe’s?
A: Bartending is bartending. It’s a good skill to have. I can take it anywhere I go.
Q: What’s your favorite thing the skill of bartending?
A: I get to interact with different people almost every day.
Q: What’s you least favorite thing about bartending?
A: That has to be working the late night hours. I have a husband at home. It usually works out though because he works late nights, too.
Q: What does he do?
A: He’s been a cab driver in Myrtle Beach for almost 20 years.
Q: How long have you two been married?
A: Ten years.
Q: What’s the best thing about being married?
A: Everything, I found my soulmate.
Q: What’s the worst thing about being married?
A: There are those times, every now and then, when you’d like to go out and still be single, but…
