How long have you been bartending? Since I was 21 years old.

What do you like most about bartending? I like the social part of it. I’m a talker.

What do like least about bartending? The assholes … I can say that, right?

Sure, what kind of assholes are we talking about? The uppity ones, the ones that are too picky.

Where are you from originally? A small town in North Carolina called Carthage.

How long have you lived here? Since I was 8.

Do you ever miss Carthage? Hell no, I’ll never go back. It has a Hardee’s and an Eckerd drugs there and nothing else.

Are you single? Nope, I have a boyfriend who I love a lot.

What makes you love him a lot? We were best friends for five years before we dated.

You work on the waterway and watch boats go by all day and night. Do you ever think about jumping on one of them? Yeah, I’d love to take a skip and a hop on one real quick. You can’t beat the view.

Where do you think you’ll be in five years? I’ll be a bartender for the rest of my life. I’m going to open my own bar one day. It’s my passion.

So you’re a natural born bartender? Absolutely, for sure.
