If you’re still in the mood for Mexican after celebrating Cinco de Mayo, you can find fajitas and fiesta year round at Fiesta Del Burro Loco. That’s where we went for happy hour this week.

Burro Loco is located near the corner of U.S. 17 Bypass and Mr. Joe White Avenue in Myrtle Beach. The Mexican restaurant is a favorite among locals, especially for happy hour.

The interior of Fiesta Del Burro Loco is colorful and fun. A modge podge of images covers the ceiling in the bar area. Look up and you’ll see an array of things including Budweiser frogs, surfers, Elvis, beers and more.

About 20 colored bar stools are pulled up to the long curved bar. The bar area also has high top tables and booths. In the main dining area there are numerous tables and booths, plus a fireplace.

Happy hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m. daily. Drink deals include $2.95 house liquors, $2.50 draft beers and $2.95 especial draft beer. Margarita’s are $3.50, Beergaritas are $3.95 and Frozen Fruit-a-ritas are $3.95.

Happy hour food deals include Chile Con Queso, Stuffed Jalapenos, Chicken Taquitos and Nine Layer Dip, each for less than five bucks. You can also get discounts on quesadillas (cheese, spinach & mushroom, chicken or steak), fajitas (chicken or steak) and nachos. Wood-fired pizzas are $4.

TIPS

▪ On Tuesdays you can snag all you can eat tacos for less than $10. If you missed BurroFest this year for Cinco de Mayo, put it on your calendar for next year.
