Police were searching for a missing couple. Now 2 others are charged with their murders
Two people have been charged with murder in the case of a missing couple last seen in Conway.
“Probable cause has been established to arrest and charge Jordan Hodge and Kenneth Carlisle with the murder of the missing Conway couple,” the Horry County Police Department Tweeted Sunday afternoon.
Twenty-one-year-old Jordan Marie Hodge and Kenneth Wayne Carlisle, 28, both of Aynor, have each been charged with financial card fraud and two counts of murder. The two were arrested Friday and are being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
Sixty-four-year-old Linda McAllister and William Clemons, 45, were reported missing on July 1, according to the Conway Police Department. The couple was last seen in the area of Dewberry Street
Clemons was described as a white male with gray hair, standing 5-foot-10, Conway police said. McAllister was described as a 5-foot-3 white female with blonde hair.
The remains of a man and a woman were found in the Bucksville section of Horry County on Saturday. Horry County police say the arrests of Carlisle and Hodge are related to the remains that were found.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler advised Monday morning that the remains found in the Bucksville area have not yet been identified and will need to “undergo more testing before ID’s are confirmed.”
The testing may take up to several weeks before confirmation can be made and released, he added.
