Body found Tuesday off Horry County road

Horry County police are investigating after the body of a man was found along side of an Horry County road Tuesday morning.

The man was found about 10:30 a.m. off Belair Lane, near the intersection of S.C. 905 and S.C. 22, which is near the Conway area, according to Krystal Dotson, Horry County police spokeswoman.

The body found was that of a black male, but outside of his race and gender, few other details have been released by police.

Dotson later said that following an initial investigation, it appears no foul play was involved; however, detectives are still investigating.
