They broke in her home. She chased them down.
A witness told police she chased a car of men who broke into her family’s home and was shot at twice before dispatchers convinced her to abandon her hunt for the alleged thieves.
Myrtle Beach Police were called around 10:30 p.m. Saturday to a Scotchman gas station on Third Avenue South where the witness explained she was at her home on Graham Avenue when she heard commotion at the front door. When she went to see what was going on, she saw two suspects running away, according to an incident report.
So she chased them.
The witness told police a rear passenger fired at her twice while she pursued the suspect’s car down Graham Avenue, according to the report.
Soon after, when she contacted the Myrtle Beach Police Department, dispatch advised her to pull over and wait for officers, the report states.
The witness gave police a description of the suspects, the make of their getaway car and the vehicle’s license plate number.
A bucket of loose change was reported stolen from the Graham Avenue home, police said.
