Nearly a dozen women were arrested in connection with prostitution charges Wednesday during an undercover sting operation conducted by Myrtle Beach police in the Yaupon Drive area.
Lt. Joey Crosby, spokesman with Myrtle Beach police said prostitution greatly effects a neighborhood and said it’s important to address it because it’s a crime that can led to other criminal activity. He also said all the recent arrests are a testament to officers seeing suspicious activity as well as residents working together with police by sharing information.
“We will continue to address those activities with enforcement measures as we gain information and as officers see suspicious activity,” he said.
Nichole Lynn Mishoe, 25, Falon Crystal Schultz, 32, Christina Pino White, 41, Kenyetta Shanice Coleman, 36, Glenda Jane Rowan, 54, and Pamela Jeanette Hoffman, 45, were each charged with drugs / unlawful to advertise for sale, manufacture, possess and sex/prostitution, first offense, Myrtle Beach Jail records show.

They were each arrested in the Yaupon Drive area on Wednesday, police records show.
Nicolette Pasley Lovelace, 31, was arrested in connection with drugs/ unlawful to advertise for sale, manufacture, possess and ordinance/ loitering for purpose of prostitution and was picked up by Myrtle Beach police about 4:15 p.m. on the 300th block of 17th Avenue South and South Ocean Boulevard, records show.
Leslie Snell, 39, Sherry Lynn Reyes, 44, Deirdre Jean Mercure, 46, were each charged in connection with sex/ prostitution, first offense, according to jail records.
Snell and Mecure were both picked up by police in the Yaupon Drive area, and Reyes was arrested on the 300th block of 14th Avenue South and South Ocean Boulevard, police said.
Crosby said those arrested were offered information on helpful resources, but all declined.
“We understand that arresting someone may not be the only solution to the problem,” he said.
Myrtle Beach police also conducted a prostitution sting over the weekend that resulted in three arrests.
Pamela Jeanette Hoffman, also known as Pamela Edge, 45, was picked up by an officer traveling south on Yaupon Drive and allegedly offered sexual favors for $60.
Julie Denise Kendall, 46, was also arrested after offering to perform sexual acts on an undercover officer for $60 after being picked up on Yaupon Drive.
Police also made an arrest of Joyce Ann Boston, 42, who was picked up on Flagg and Chester Streets. According to reports, she asked the officer if he was a cop when she got in the car. When he replied no and asked her if she was, she lifted her skirt.
She allegedly told the officer to drive to her hotel and offered to perform sexual acts for $20.
