Surfside Beach’s Pickled Cucumber looking to open temporary location

Owners of the Pickled Cucumber are working to open a temporary location while the repairs are made to the original location that was lost to flames late last month.

A post on the Pickled Cucumber’s Facebook page states that the temporary restaurant will be located at 317 Business 17 North in Surfside Beach. The owners had been in works to buy this location as an investment property before the fire occurred.

“There is so much work to be done to make it work for PC, but we will do our best to recreate the atmosphere of our old location,” the post states. “We are getting a new roof, updating the bathrooms, demoing walls, rebuilding the kitchen.”

Staff is working to hire a construction company to help with renovations.

An opening date for the temporary location has not been set.

The restaurant is working to “re-open as soon as possible as we and our employees are out of jobs,” the post states.

“Guys, we miss you all so much!!! We don’t have the exact re-opening date, but we will let you know in a week or two. Thank you so much for your support!”
