Police investigating shooting death of 16-year-old boy

Horry County Police are investigating a shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in Aynor, according to a tweet sent Sunday morning from the police department.

The victim was identified as Spencer Prince, of Loris, according to Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.

He died at Grand Strand Hospital, Willard said.

Prince was a student at Loris High School, his Facebook page shows.

Horry County police spokeswoman Krystal Dotson said shots were fired after a fight reportedly broke out during a party Saturday night. The shooting happened on Good Luck Road.

One person has been arrested, according to another tweet from the police department, but the name has not been released yet.
