Local youth bowlers shine in tourneys

Four local youth bowling stars are putting on a show in Spring bowling tournaments. Three weeks ago, 15 year old Madison Janack won her age division averaging 211 in the Chuck Gardner Bowl 4 Life tournament in Columbia. Clayton Hucks finished 2nd in the same division averaging 207. Lyndsay Ennis finished 4th in her division averaging 155 while Michaela Clardy finished 5th averaging 144.

Two weeks ago, Clayton Hucks won the Underground Bowling Association Sweeper at Little River Lanes. Bowling against 30 adults along with 2 other youths, Clayton qualified 2nd for the match play finals averaging 213 for four games. In match play, he bowled 234, 211 and 219 needing a double in the 10th frame of the second game and at least a spare in the 10th frame of the third game to win the tournament.
