Sports Blog Nation trolls North Myrtle Beach High alumnus Quigley over trick play
You probably won’t find Ryan Quigley in the Minnesota Vikings’ quarterback room any time soon.
In fact, his underwhelming pass during an attempted fake punt drew the ire of Sports Blog Nation, which included comments such as “Step into the throw and fire it in there, bud.”
Indeed, video shows the North Myrtle Beach High alumnus throwing up a lackadaisical pass that nearly got picked off and ended with him taking a brutal hit.
SB Nation further trolled the former area standout, describing the toss as “a very I’m Playing Catch With My Child In The Backyard throw.”
Performing his usual duties, Quigley punted six times for 264 yards for a 44.0 (44.2 net) average while landing three inside the 20-yard line.
Sunday’s pass was the second of Quigley’s career. He completed a 38-yard toss as a member of the New York Jets in 2014. And for the record, the throwing motion was identical to Sunday’s.
