You may not know Jay Triano, but you are likely familiar with his work.

Triano is the top assistant under Hornets coach James Borrego and is partially responsible for serving as the architect of their high-scoring attack. Triano is a trusted voice and someone on whom Borrego relies heavily, especially since he was the only one with head coaching experience when Borrego initially put his staff together in 2018.

In this week’s episode of The QC Hornets Nest, Triano breaks down exactly what his job entails as the “offensive coordinator,” how he tries to ensure they have the right plays called in the correct situations, what he’s doing to get Mason Plumlee as comfortable as he can out on the floor, and much more.

The weekly podcast can also be found on Apple and Spotify.
