He said it

Starting pitching dictates the flow of the game, and Null struggled. With the way he pitches, he has to get the ball on the ground and it didn’t work out too good and after giving up four in the second those three in the third, that was pretty much the ballgame. Seven runs down, we had a chance with two on in a couple innings but couldn’t get anybody in until the ninth. We hit the ball pretty good; only struck out for times in the whole ballgame game. But seven runs on eight hits in three innings is a lot to make up in a ballgame and it just didn’t work tonight. Our bullpen did an outstanding job. [James] Pugliese gave us some innings we needed to try to rest some of the other guys. [Dillon] Maples was really solid for the four outs he got and [Jordan] Minch struck out the side in the ninth – unfortunately it was way too much damage done in the second and third inning for us to come back in the ballgame.
