The Myrtle Beach Pelicans had a strong week as they finished 4-2.

Pitcher Brad Markey has continued to shine this year. He remained perfect on the rubber, improving to 7-0, as he pitched seven scoreless innings in a 4-2 win over Wilmington on Friday.

Utility infielder Chesny Young went just 3-for-18 in five games, which dropped his Carolina League-best batting average to .322.

Slugger Jacob Rogers has 12 home runs and 68 RBIs this year, both are top 5 in the Carolina League.

Meanwhile, in his second start back from the disabled list, Duane Underwood received a no-decision as he struck out three and allowed one run in five innings during a 4-0 win over Wilmington.
