Myrtle Beach Pelicans lose lead late, fall to Winston-Salem Dash
Adam Engel scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the eighth inning to highlight a two-run frame and lead the Winston-Salem Dash to a 3-2 win over the Myrtle Beach Pelicans on Sunday night.
With the Dash trailing 2-1 to enter the inning, Jake Peter drove in a run with one out before Engel scored the go-ahead score.
Pelicans starter Jonathan Martinez retired the first 12 batters he faced before allowing one run on five hits in seven innings for a no-decision.
James Farris took the loss after allowing two runs in 2/3 inning.
Daniel Lockhart and Trey Martin each drove in runs for Myrtle Beach.
