Myrtle Beach Pelicans sweep Carolina Mudcats

Pin-Chieh Chen went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run to lead the Myrtle Beach Pelicans to a 6-5 win over the Carolina Mudcats on Sunday to complete a three-game sweep.

Trailing 3-2, Jeimer Candelario drove in the tying run in and the go-ahead run came in on a throwing error in the seventh.

Myrtle Beach tacked on two more runs in the eight before holding on to win.

The Pelicans are Monday before beginning a seventh-game homestand Tuesday against the Frederick Keys and Potomac Nationals.
