After a two-run homer by Myrtle Beach’s Eddy Martinez gave it a 4-3 lead in the sixth, Potomac answered in the bottom half of the seventh with two runs in the seventh to help it regain the lead — and ultimately take the game. Daniel Johnson Jr. led off the frame with a solo shot for the Nationals, with the three batters behind him also earning base hits to allow the winning run to score.

Myrtle Beach left fielder Eddy Martinez was 3-for-3 on the night with a home run and two RBIs. Shortstop Zack Short also had three hits in the ballgame for the Pelicans.
Winner: Gilberto Mendez (2-2) went two innings for Potomac, giving up one hit while striking out three Myrtle Beach batters.
Loser: Jake Stinnett (0-1) pitched 1 1/3 innings for the Pelicans, giving up two runs on four hits. He struck out two.
