Traded earlier in the day, former Pelicans outfielder Eloy Jimenez’s base hit in the third brought in two runs to give Winston-Salem a 2-1 lead. He would later come around to score, a run that would prove to be a winning one for the Dash.
Myrtle Beach left fielder Eddy Martinez was 2-for-3 in the game, hitting a home run in the third inning.
Winner: Brannon Easterling (6-5) pitched six innings, allowing two runs on six hits and striking out three Pelican hitters.
Loser: Duncan Robinson (0-2) went five innings, giving up three runs on five hits. He struck out six in a losing effort.
