Volleyball

Coastal Carolina 3, Texas State 1: At Arlington, Texas, Leah Hardeman had 20 kills, Carla Cahill had 19 digs and Sara Boothe had 30 assists as the Chants won 23-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-13 to advance to the championship match of the Sun Belt tournament.

Second-seeded Coastal will take on top-seeded Arkansas State at 1 p.m. Sunday with a trip to the NCAA tournament on the line.

Women’s basketball

(At) Marshall 84, Coastal Carolina 66: Kiana Evans had 23 points to lead the Thundering Herd past the Chants.

Rachael Gregory had 21 points, Ced Gibson had 14 and Kennedy Archer had 11 for Coastal.

Cross country

Coastal Carolina’s Annie Bothma was unable to finish Saturday’s NCAA Cross Country National Championship because of back pain.

The redshirt freshman had won the Southeast Regional last week.
