Myrtle Beach’s Sinclair named Region VII-AAA Player of the Year
Myrtle Beach running back Brandon Sinclair was named the Region VII-AAA Player of the Year, announced this month as part of the region’s postseason awards.
Sinclair, who has now topped 1,000 yards rushing in each of the past three seasons, has helped the Seahawks to the third round of the playoffs, although the awards were decided prior to the postseason.
Georgetown quarterback Jarvis Brown was honored as the Offensive Player of the Year, and St. James’ Charles Ouverson was named the Specialist of the Year. Wilson’s Xaiver Thomas (Athletes of the Year) and Naszierre Rice (Defensive Player of the Year) earned the region’s other two top individual awards.
Myrtle Beach had six players earn first-team honors. North Myrtle Beach and St. James had four and Georgetown had three.
