The Grand Strand’s two hottest teams are making their move.

In Class AAAA and Class AAA, Conway and Georgetown, respectively, have risen up the receiving votes category of the S.C. Prep Media Football Poll. Both the Tigers and Bulldogs stand essentially at No. 11 in their class heading into this week’s games.

Georgetown (5-1) has won five consecutive games following its season loss to – of all teams – Conway. The Tigers (also 5-1) have defeated everyone on their schedule except Hartsville, Class AAA’s top-ranked team. With another successful week or two, and maybe some help from the teams above them, both could join Myrtle Beach, the area’s only team included in the top 10 this week.

The Seahawks (3-3) stand at No. 10 in Class AAA in advance of Saturday’s game at Lake City.
