Yet again, it’s Myrtle Beach and not much else.

The Seahawks remained No. 1 in Class AAA in the S.C. Prep Media Football Poll, released Tuesday evening. Coach Mickey Wilson’s team was the lone Grand Strand program appearing in this week’s poll.

Loris, which fell 23-20 to St. James in Week 0, fell out of the Class AA after being ranked No. 7 in the preseason. The Lions are now in the receiving votes category, four spots back of the top 10.

Myrtle Beach will open its season on Saturday against Charlotte Christian (N.C.) in the Derrick Law Firm Carolinas Kickoff Clash at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
