Three Grand Strand football teams are ranked in the top 10 in their classifications in SC
The SC Prep Media Poll shows a stronger grasp on the top spot in Class 4A for Myrtle Beach, as the Seahawks are now the unanimous No. 1 team following a 69-0 Week 1 romp over Darlington.
North Myrtle Beach moves from No. 9 in the class to No. 6 following a double-digit win at Hartsville to open the season. The Grand Strand rivals are scheduled to play at the end of the regular season.
Green Sea Floyds, formerly No. 1 in the Class A poll, fell to No. 5 following a season-opening loss to Lake View on Monday. The Trojans still received three first place votes in the poll, but now trail Lamar, Lake View, Ridge Spring-Monetta and Southside Christian.
Carolina Forest received votes in the Class 5A poll, coming in at No. 11, and Aynor was the top non-ranked team in the Class 3A poll, coming in at No. 12 due to ties.
