North Carolina all-stars made the 81st annual Shrine Bowl theirs to own on Saturday, running roughshod over the South Carolina squad, 55-24.

Three Grand Strand area football standouts contributed for South Carolina in a losing effort: Conway offensive linemen Gunner Britton and Raiqwon O’Neal, and North Myrtle Beach wide receiver and defensive back Tyler Gore.

Britton and O’Neal both started along the offensive line for the South Carolina squad, each finding themselves on the field for a couple Sandlapper scoring drives.

As for Gore, he had two tackles and a pass breakup.
