“To be honest, our kids came out and played very physical and executed well right from the get go. The offensive line did a good job and the running backs ran the ball hard. We were just able to come out and dominate the line of scrimmage early in the game. Defensively, our kids were flying around. We were really worried about being able to stop them. We felt like we could a little bit, but we didn’t know if we could stop them because they have such a prolific quarterback and a good tailback. But our guys just kind of rose to the occasion.” - GSF coach Donnie Kiefer
“I didn’t say anything to the kids about it. You know, you just want to go win. So we’re not trying to put any kind of emphasis on them, like ‘Hey, you’ve got to hold them to this many points.’ I don’t think that would have been wise. So we just went out and played hard and wasn’t really thinking about that. Our goal every game is to shut them out, so it worked out well that we didn’t give up many points.” - Kiefer, on whether his kids knew about the tiebreaker scenarios
“I’m just really proud of them that they did face all that adversity and overcome. It would have easy to like, ahh, our season’s over, we lost some of our best players, we got beat badly last week, we lost to East Clarendon in a game we should have never lost. … So I was just real proud of them that they were able to come in tonight and be totally focused. I told the assistant coaches, because most of my kids I have in weight training during the day, they were all more focused than they’d been the whole year, asking great questions, making good comments as we watched film this afternoon and things like that. I could just tell they were more into it than they ever have been. It felt like every Friday night is supposed to feel. But with the little things we’ve had going on and the little distractions, we just didn’t have any of that this week and we played like that. We went out and played like a focused football team on a mission.” - Kiefer

“I think we played pretty much like we were supposed to. It was good to get a bad taste out of our mouth after a tough one last week. We look forward to getting ready for [the] playoffs next week.” - Georgetown coach Ken Cribb
“It’s always nice [to start at home]. You don’t have to make those long trips and all. We know we’re going to be playing a good football team – we don’t know who yet – but it’s going to be a good team so it’s nice to be at home. ” - Cribb
“I was pretty satisfied with tonight. We’ve just got to clean up a few mistakes here and there and coming up this time of year it’s the little things that make a difference. Everybody’s good that’s left. Little things – you’ve got to take care of the little things.” - Cribb

“We told them to play it like any other game. Every game counts, and we hadn’t beat Latta in three years. … It kind of was good to come out and play good ball. The kids didn’t let up. They realized that a game is a game. We play it no matter who we play.” - Carvers Bay coach Nate Thompson
“We’ve got to get healthy. We’ve still got some kids on the sidelines. We’ve got to get healthy. The key to making this run is you’ve got to be healthy. If you’re not healthy, you’re not going to make a run. It’s just that simple. Right now we’ve got to get healthy. I feel good that we have a No. 1 seed, but sometimes that No. 1 seed puts a bull’s-eye on you. We’ve already been there and we know what we’ve got to do. My coaches are doing a good job. They’ve just got to get the kids in line. We’ve got to get in line. We’ve got to make it happen. Like I told them, there ain’t no more missed practices. There ain’t no more missed anything. We’ve got to really buckle down because every game is the must-win game because every game could send you forward or send you home.” - Thompson
“They got a legitimate chance.” - Thompson, on how far his team could go in the playoffs
