Helmet stickers: NMB standout again impresses, Loris makes statement in must-win game

Team of the Week

Loris: The Lions put their best foot forward in a game they needed last Friday night, defeating Waccamaw 42-14. Tyrek Williams had one of his best games of the 2017 campaign, rushing for 120 yards and three touchdowns. Waderek Hemingway also had a rushing touchdown for Loris. The Lions’ defense was stout as well, scoring a pair of touchdowns on fumble recoveries.

Player of the Week

Kwame Livingston, North Myrtle Beach: For the second straight week, the Chiefs’ defensive lineman was voted player of the week for his performance on the gridiron. Against Marlboro County, the senior standout was in on 11 tackles and racked up two sacks in North Myrtle Beach’s 48-20 win. Earlier this week, the Chiefs captain was named to the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives North-South Game.

Deakidd Anderson, Georgetown: Caught six passes for 108 yards and a touchdown in the Bulldogs’ 55-27 loss to Dillon.

Conway defense: Limited Sumter to 169 yards of total offense in Friday’s 14-13 win.

Drake Carroll, Aynor: Was in on nine tackles — three coming for a loss — and two fumble recoveries in the Blue Jackets’ 55-20 win over Lake City.

Melquan Cromedy, Georgetown: Was in on 11 tackles for the Bulldogs in their 55-27 loss to Dillon.

Ames Fowble, St. James: Was in on 10 tackles for the Sharks in their 34-14 loss to Wilson.

Keimone Graham, Conway: Three catches for 81 yards and a touchdown in the Tigers’ 14-13 win over Sumter.

Hunter Illing, Socastee: Completed 14 of his 25 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns, along with a rushing touchdown in Friday’s win over South Florence.

Toronto King, Carvers Bay: Scored five touchdowns (14, 27, 14, 47 and 17 yards) in Friday’s win over Johnsonville.

Kwame Livingston, North Myrtle Beach: Was in on 11 tackles and two sacks in the Chiefs’ 48-20 win over Marlboro County.

Ethan Martin, Aynor: Rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns, along with a 20-yard touchdown reception in the Blue Jackets’ win over Lake City. He also had 10 tackles — three coming for a loss — in a winning effort.

Noah Seaver, Aynor: Rushed for 218 yards and three touchdowns in the Blue Jackets’ win over Lake City.

Alex Smith, Georgetown: Caught four passes for 90 yards and two scores for the Bulldogs in their 55-27 loss to Dillon.

Janaz Sumpter, Carvers Bay: Rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another in the Bears’ 59-7 win over Johnsonville.

Edward Tucker, Socastee: Caught six passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns, along with two interceptions in the Braves’ win over South Florence.

Jackson Weatherwax, Carolina Forest: Caught four passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns in the Panthers’ loss to West Florence.

Austin Werba, St. James: Was in on 10 tackles for the Sharks in their 34-14 loss to Wilson.

Tyrek Williams, Loris: Rushed for 120 yards on 15 carries and three touchdowns in the Lions’ rout of Waccamaw.

Stephon Wilson, North Myrtle Beach: Was in on nine tackles for the Chiefs in their 48-20 win over Marlboro County.
