Of note: Andrews held on for a 35-28 win over Latta to earn first Region 7-2A win of season. Mullins stepped out of the league to beat McBee last week. It is 1-0 in region play after a 37-2 win over Johnsonville two weeks ago. … R.J. Knowlin keyed the Yellow Jackets’ attack last week, going for 185 yards and two touchdowns. .... Auctioneers’ losses have come to Dillon and Lake View — teams with a single loss between them.

Of note: Region 6-3A opener for both teams. Waccamaw made strides last week, though in a losing effort to Hannah-Pamplico. It’ll be hard to keep that momentum against the No. 2 team in Class 3A.
Favorite: Dillon
Green Sea Floyds (3-2) at Lake View (4-1)
Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Of note: Region 6-A opener for both teams. Playing it close against a pair of Class 3A opponents earlier this season, this one will offer true guidance as to where Green Sea Floyds sits in the league. Lake View, the defending Class A champion, has won four in a row.

Loris (2-4) at Lake City (1-4)
Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Radio: WLSC-AM 1240
Of note: Scoring has been tough for both teams, each of which are seeking to start Region 6-3A play on a good note. Unfortunately for Loris, a rash of injuries may further complicate matters against a Lake City team coming off its bye week.

Marion (1-4) at Carvers Bay (5-1)
Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Of note: Carvers Bay tied for third with Cheraw in the latest S.C. prep media poll. The final home game for Bear seniors, and quite possibly longtime coach Nate Thompson, expect them to play with a ton of emotion and cruise to an easy win.
Favorite: Carvers Bay
Marlboro County (2-3) at St. James (2-4)
Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Of note: Aside from Darlington, each of the teams on Marlboro County’s schedule have been ranked. With that said, coach Joey Price and his St. James football team have their work cut out for them.
