Helmet stickers: Aynor’s top ground gainer, Myrtle Beach earn Week 6’s top honors

Team of the week

Myrtle Beach: Though able to win by the slimmest of margins, the Seahawks grossly outplayed previously undefeated Myrtle Beach. In a 13-12 victory, Myrtle Beach outgained their foes from across the Waccamaw River by a count of 472-185. More importantly, it was the better team on third down, converting on 10 of its 16 opportunities.

Player of the week

Noah Seaver, Aynor: Following a 103-yard, three-touchdown performance for the Blue Jackets in a 49-12 win over Word of God (N.C.), the junior running back has been named Week 6’s top performer. For the season, he is Aynor’s top ground gainer, rushing for 438 yards and seven touchdowns.

Jayce Allen, Myrtle Beach: Had four tackles and an interception for the Seahawks in their 13-12 win over Conway.

Matt Beale, Carolina Forest: Completed 9 of his 15 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns, along with 111 yards on the ground and another touchdown in the Panthers’ 32-0 win over Loris.

Niseym Bellamy, Conway: Had six total tackles and two interceptions, one which went for an 103-yard touchdown in the Tigers’ 13-12 loss to Myrtle Beach.

Michael Brown, Myrtle Beach: Was in on 12 tackles and had a sack in the Seahawks’ 13-12 win over Conway.

Drake Carroll, Aynor: Had six tackles and a sack for the Blue Jackets in their 49-12 win over Word of God (N.C.).

Nick Carnucci, Socastee: Had 112 yards and two touchdowns, along with a 21-yard touchdown reception for the Braves in their 65-14 win over St. James.

Kered Class, North Myrtle Beach: Rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns as the Chiefs remained undefeated with a 63-28 win over Camden.

Bryce Crawford, Carolina Forest: Was in on 12 total tackles for the Panthers in their 32-0 win over Loris.

Ethan Damron, Green Sea Floyds: Was 4 for 7 passing for 119 yards and a touchdown in the Trojans’ 53-0 win over Camden Millitary.

Tyree Funnye, Waccamaw: Caught four passes for 99 yards and a touchdown in the Warriors’ 41-35 overtime loss to Hannah-Pamplico.

Jordyn Gillings, North Myrtle Beach: Was in on 11 total tackles for the Chiefs in their win 63-28 win over Camden.

Jermani Green, Myrtle Beach: Had 141 yards of total offense and a touchdown for the Seahawks in their 13-12 win over Conway.

Chunk Grissett, Myrtle Beach: Caught six passes for 101 yards for the Seahawks in their 13-12 win over Conway.

Waderick Hemingway, Loris: Rushed for 130 yards on 23 carries for the Lions in a 32-0 loss to Carolina Forest.

McKinley Hood, Socastee: Led the Braves with seven tackles in their 65-14 win over St. James.

Hunter Illing, Socastee: Completed 11 of his 16 passes for 271 yards and four touchdowns, along with another touchdown on the ground for Braves in 65-14 win over St. James.

Tyfiq James, Waccamaw: Rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns for the Warriors in a 41-35 overtime loss to Hannah-Pamplico.

Bryce Johns, Andrews: Caught three passes for 98 yards and a touchdown.

R.J. Knowlin, Andrews: Rushed for 185 yards and two touchdowns as the Yellow Jackets held on for a 35-28 win over Latta.

Shawn Mallo, Carolina Forest: Caught three passes for 106 yards and a touchdown for the Panthers in their 32-0 win over Loris.

Jaylen Moody, Conway: Had 11 tackles and an interception for the Tigers in their 13-12 loss to Myrtle Beach.

Jaizell Murphy, Andrews: The Yellow Jacket quarterback was 8 of 13 passing for 162 yards and two touchdowns, along with 60 yards on the ground in a 35-28 win over Latta.

Brayden Nobles, Aynor: Had three catches for 87 yards and a touchdown in the Blue Jackets’ 49-12 win over Word of God (N.C.).

Spencer Sarvis, Aynor: Completed 6 of 8 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown for the Blue Jackets in their 49-12 win over Word of God (N.C.).

Kenney Solomon, Socastee: Had a 22-yard touchdown pass, along with a 69-yard punt return for another score in the Braves 65-14 win over St. James.

Devin Stamp, Socastee: Caught six passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns in Braves’ 65-14 win over St. James.

Will Walton, Myrtle Beach: Was in on 10 tackles and a sack for the Seahawks in their 13-12 win over Conway.

1. North Myrtle Beach (6-0): Lone unbeaten on the Grand Strand faces its stiffest test to date Thursday night in rival Myrtle Beach.

2. Conway (4-1): Though on wrong side of a slugfest, Tigers’ goals are still in front of them.

3. Carvers Bay (5-1): Bears continue to roll, but toughest portion of schedule looms.

4. Myrtle Beach (3-3): Seahawks suddenly rounding into form, and it is showing. Particularly on defense.
