Game balls: Vote for Week 5’s top high school football performances

A look at the top 10 performances Friday from high school football players in Horry and Georgetown counties:

Deakidd Anderson, Georgetown: Caught four passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns to help the Bulldogs to a 26-23 win over St. James.

Matt Beale, Carolina Forest: Completed 16 of 21 passes for 251 yards and a touchdown, along with another score on the ground.

Kered Class, North Myrtle Beach: Rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns for the Chiefs in their 41-7 rout of Socastee.

Tyler Gore, North Myrtle Beach: Scored on an 85-yard kickoff return, along with forcing a fumble for the Chiefs in their win over Socastee.

Jermani Green, Myrtle Beach: Rushed for 97 yards on 20 carries, three of them going for touchdowns in the Seahawks’ 35-14 win over Carolina Forest.

 

Shaquille Johnson, Green Sea Floyds: Had 112 receiving yards on three catches, each going for a touchdown. He also scored two more touchdowns on the ground in the Trojans’ 61-3 win over Military Magnet.

Toronto King, Carvers Bay: Had 99 yards on 17 carries and a touchdown for the Bears in their 47-28 win over Andrews.

Michael Pipkin, Andrews: Rushed for 102 yards on 20 carries in Yellow Jackets’ 47-28 loss to Carvers Bay.

Deondray Stanfield, St. James: Rushed for 128 yards on nine carries and a touchdown in the Sharks’ 26-23 loss to Georgetown.

Janaz Sumpter, Carvers Bay: Accounted for 212 total yards — 108 passing, 102 rushing — and five touchdowns to lead the Bears to a 47-28 victory over Andrews.

Of note: Voting is open till noon on Wednesday for player of the week. The winner will be revealed Wednesday at myrtlebeachonline.com and in Thursday’s edition of The Sun News.
