Eventually, Carolina Forest and Myrtle Beach will be able to enjoy a normal week of preparation ahead of an upcoming football contest.

This week won’t be one of them, though, as the local rivals’ matchup has been moved from Thursday to Friday night.

Due to it being moved back a night, the game will not be televised.

“The TV folks came out and looked at the site (Tuesday morning) and said there was no way for them to do this,” said Carolina Forest athletic director Tripp Satterwhite. “Without TV being here, we just thought we might as well move things to Friday and get another day of practice in.”

Kickoff on Friday will be at 7:30 p.m. at Carolina Forest.

This will be the third consecutive game the Panthers have changed due to weather concerns or adverse stadium conditions.

All is not lost for the Panthers, however. In exchange for losing a little time on television, the team’s game Oct. 5 at South Florence will now be broadcast via WWMB-CW 21.
