Poca edges Socastee in consolation matchup
Elijah Cuffee had 23 points and 11 rebounds and Luke Frampton added 17 points to lead Poca (W.Va.) to a 61-50 win over Socastee on Monday in a loser’s bracket game of the Beach Ball Classic at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
Cuffee also had six assists for the Dots, who will take on Mullins on Wednesday with a trip to the consolation finals on the line.
Jason Cudd had 15 points and Marcus Hemingway added 12 for the Braves, who will next take on area rival St. James in a consolation game at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.
