Updated area high school playoff schedule (May 9, 2016)

Following wins by Carolina Forest and Aynor baseball on Monday, the area’s sports scene will be relegated to two soccer matches on Tuesday and just one baseball game Wednesday.

But while those two teams rest up for Lower State finals at home on Friday, the Socastee and Myrtle Beach boys soccer teams will take to the pitch in the Lower State championships in Class AAAA and Class AAA, respectively.

Then it’s back to Murrells Inlet Wednesday for St. James baseball’s Class AAA Lower State winner’s bracket game against Hilton Head.
