Carolina Forest back on top of Class AAAA in latest baseball rankings
Carolina Forest is No. 1 again.
At least in the eyes of the state’s baseball coaches.
Two weeks after dropping out of the top spot in the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association Class AAAA rankings, the Panthers were again No. 1 in the updated polls, released Tuesday. Jack Jolly’s team originally earned that place in the polls in March before losing it on April 4 following a loss in the prestigious Diamond Invitational.
Carolina Forest can wrap up the Region VI-AAAA title as early as Tuesday night.
Three other local teams were ranked in the latest polls. St. James was No. 8 in Class AAA and Region VIII-AA foes Waccamaw and Aynor were fourth and fifth, respectively, in that classification.
