Jakob Frishmuth received the loss for Carolina Forest (1-1), and Ryan Gold collected the team’s only hit while also drawing two walks.

North Myrtle Beach junior goalkeeper Montana Fields tallied seven saves in the win.

Alysa Ayala also drove in three runs and scored twice as she went 2-for-3, and Dominique Gross was 4-for-4 with four runs and one RBI for St. James. Meanwhile, Kelsi Bachmann, Kelsey Gollie and Kenly Daves had two hits apiece for the Sharks.
