High school roundup: A.C. Flora takes down Socastee in lacrosse
▪ AC Flora 14, Socastee 2 | A long trip to the coast proved mighty productive for the A.C. Flora boys lacrosse team Saturday afternoon, the Falcons dominant in a 14-2 win over Socastee.
Attackers Bradford Long and Will Peebles each scored three times in the match, in addition to notching an assist in the win. Sam Duffie and Zim Fant also had two goals apiece for A.C. Flora.
Goalie Sean Merritt had six saves for the Falcons.
Socastee midfielder Stephen Sperbeck had both goals for the Braves on the day, with Cameron Lidard assisting on one of the scoring plays.
Alec Dowd won 10-of-18 faceoffs against A.C. Flora on Saturday, in addition to picking up nine ground balls. Socastee netminder Nick Robles had nine saves in a losing effort.
