Carvers Bay boys pulls upset, Socastee girls knocked from playoffs

▪ Carvers Bay 55, Denmark-Olar 49 | Arkel Williams lived up to his All-State billing on Friday night, scoring 17 points to help lead the Bears past top-ranked Denmark-Olar.

Despite Williams being the only player in double figures, Carvers Bay made up for it with a balanced scoresheet as eight different players scored on the night.

The Trojans were led by Ozante Fields, who scored 14 points.

Carvers Bay will visit C.E. Murray on Tuesday night, with a berth in the Class A Lower State championship game on the line.

Mia Angelo finished with 14 points to lead Socastee, with Kira Bell the other Brave in double figures with 11.

Three North Augusta players finished in double figures, led by Amari young with 17. Also chipping in was Sarah Crews with 12 and Mya Burns with 10.
