Lee Central stampede rolls over Waccamaw

Waccamaw was overwhelmed by a Stallion stampede Wednesday night, as Lee Central ran roughshod to a 71-46 victory in the teams’ first round Class AA matchup.

The Stallions set the tone in the first period, outscoring Waccamaw 20-5, and only poured it on from there.

Four Lee Central players would score in double figures.

Kenley Vereen would lead the way for the Warriors with 14, while Justin Busby had 12 in a losing effort.

Waccamaw finishes the season with an 11-14 mark.
