A trio of Socastee athletes will continue the February signings for the area on Wednesday. Braves soccer midfielder Jake Perito (Limestone), football receiver Taylor Karnap (Charleston Southern) and lacrosse standout Jacob Perritt (Chowan) will fulfill commitments during a ceremony at the school.

Perito, the defending Region VI-AAAA Player of the Year and a Toast of the Coast selection, helped the Braves to the Class AAAA Lower State finals last spring by scoring 12 goals and adding seven assists.

Karnap emerged early in 2015 as the Braves’ top wide receiver. He finished the year with 41 receptions for 569 yards and four touchdowns. He will be a preferred walk-on at Charleston Southern.

Several others turned in paperwork with their respective schools last week when the signing period opened.
