Conway moves into S.C. Prep Media Football Poll
Conway football is having its best season in some time.
The Tigers’ place in the S.C. Prep Media Football Poll reflects that. Conway is now No. 10 in the state in Class AAAA after starting the season 6-1.
It is the first time Chuck Jordan’s team has been in the top 10 since Oct. 4, 2011. That season, it held a place in the rankings for two weeks before a region loss to West Florence knocked it out for good. Until this week, the closest Conway had been was in the receiving votes category.
The Tigers joined Myrtle Beach, which remained No. 10 in Class AAA for the third straight week. Georgetown, which did not play last week, is receiving votes in Class AAA.
