St. James wins Lady Blue Jacket Invitational

For the third straight season, the St. James girls golf team won the Lady Blue Jacket Invitational on Sunday at Black Bear Golf Club.

The Sharks shot a team-record 318 to outpace second-place Hilton Head by 57 strokes.

Kelli Smith shot 76, Smith Knaffle fired a 77, Jordan White shot 80 and Steely Hays shot 85 for St. James.

Hilton Head’s Meredith Wipper shot 74 to earn medalist honors.
