Horry County voted for the best high school band in the area. The results are in

Marching bands are a staple of the high school experience, whether they’re pumping up the crowd during a pep rally or spending hours rehearsing and choreographing.

We asked Sun News readers to vote for the top high school band in Horry County. With 10 options to choose from in one of the largest school districts in South Carolina, the competition was fierce.

More than 10,000 votes were cast and the winner was clear.

With more than 56% of the votes, Carolina Forest High School was the top pick among voters for the best high school band in Horry County.

The poll was open for several days, giving people the opportunity to vote and share the survey. It’s an unscientific measure, and people were able to vote as many times as they liked.
