GIRLS GOLF
Playing the always tough course at Pawley’s Plantation, St. James cruised to a 177-232 victory over Waccamaw on Wednesday.
Sophomore standout Smith Knaffle earned medalist honors, shooting a 38, while seventh-grader Adrian Anderson wasn’t far behind with a 42. Waccamaw was led by Breanna Hammond, who shot a 55.

Led by a flawless MaryAnna Emerson, West Florence cruised past Conway, 6-0, on Wednesday.
The Knights’ No. 2 player, she defeated Conway’s Claire Hamilton 6-0, 6-0.

VOLLEYBALL
Following a marathon at North Myrtle Beach the previous night, Myrtle Beach was back on the court Wednesday, hosting Oceanside Academy of Mt. Pleasant.
The Seahawks made quick work of the Landsharks, beating them 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-17).
Gracie Davis led the way with 19 kills, Darby Sheets contributed 12 while Cassie Runyon had nine. Sammy Shavitz contributed seven service points, while Danni Hix offered 38 assists.
