Alignment rods
Quite possibly the most versatile training aid in golf, I use alignment rods in putting to develop the proper motion of the body. Using rubber bands, you attach a rod across your shoulders, one just above your elbows across your arms and one across your hips. Your putting stroke originates from you shoulders moving up and in. The arms will work in unison with the shoulders up and in. The rod on your hips does not move at all. This will help you develop proper motion of your shoulders and arms while keeping the lower body stable.
